George VanOrden

Pro Survival Kit Company is owned by retired U.S. Marine, George VanOrden. During his nearly 22 years of service, he served as a Mountain Warfare Instructor in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, where he trained Marines and Navy SEAL’s in survival and survival kit construction. Later, he served as a Reconnaissance Instructor at the Amphibious Reconnaissance School in Coronado, California. During this tour, he taught survival, demolition and land navigation to Marines, Navy SEAL’s, Army Rangers and Army Special Forces personnel. George is a graduate of Army Airborne School and the Navy SCUBA Divers Course.

After receiving many comments on his personal survival kit, he decided to start a business upon retirement. Since 2002, Pro Survival Kit Company has provided kits to the most elite military forces in the world. These kits are standard issue for numerous Special Operations units and have been carried in conflicts around the globe. George is a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). He is also a member of the American Legion.

Having been refined and updated over three decades, we feel our kits are the most innovative, useful and complete personal survival kits available today.
